Our picnic spot on the New River Bridge, - Cliff and Roland sitting on the parapet. In the distance on the right can be seen the Pyramid. Grey Panthers' legend had it the Pyramid was built as a tomb for a favourite horse, - apparently not, It is hollow inside and contains a colossal bust of Lord William Howard, the 3rd Earl's great-great-great grandfather, the Elizabethan founder of the Carlisle branch of the Howard family.
