Hello Grey Panthers,
I have just found your web site by fortunate accident. Is there any way to display and print an ordnance survey map of the walks listed?
Regards

Many thanks for your comment in the Grey Panthers Guest Book. Sorry to be a bit late in replying, but I was away last week and have had a bit of catching up to do.
Unfortunately, the cost of including an OS map for each walk rules that one out.
I once enquired about copyright costs and found the price a bit too steep for what is a "free" website.
Possibly your best way forward is to download the QUO mapping system from [www.mapyx.com]
Using QUO you can buy tiles, - sections of OS maps, for quite a reasonable price. You can start with just a few and then build up a collection.
Once you have done this, the Memory Map overlays which I include with every walk (free download!) can be used with the QUO software.
If you don't want to spend ANY money at all, Bing maps (http://www.bing.com/maps/) have the complete UK covered by OS maps (both 1 : 25000 and 1 : 50000). Then simply print out a relevant map and hand draw the route from the directions given on the Grey Panthers website.
The Grey Panthers website is a FREE one, and provides fantastic value for walkers. Plenty of ideas and routes to follow!
Edward
