Dear Grey Panthers,
On your October 2007 walk to High Grantley, you were wondering about the building in photographs seven and eight. I am not sure about the figure head, but I can tell you that the house was originally the village school-I attended there from 1974 to 1977. The new school was built during the early eighties. The field behind where your group is standing is the village playing field where we used to play rounders on a lunch time-the dinner lady, Mrs Garget was the bowler!! The swings are the same ones that were there at that time.
