Is the Brian Kitching the chap I knew at Sheffield Training College in 1955-57? If so, I'm sorry to hear of his death, and I'd be gratful if you'd give my sympathy to his family. He was a good friend.

The Grey Panthers, by the way, is a small group of friends who love walking the countryside in the North East of England. Brian was one of the original members when the group was formed in about 1997 or 1998.
