This walk starts from Middleton-in-Teesdale. The first leg is North out of Middleton, following the East bank of the Hudeshope Beck. When the minor road is reached at Coldberry, an ascent is made up to the Coldberry Gutter and the path is then followed down to Moor House Farm.
FRom here the minor road is followed South into Newbiggin, and the path continues South from here to cross the River Tees and follow the Pennine Way back to Middleton-in-Teesdale.
