The Grey Panthers

This is a very "straightforward" walk, which doesn't really need any maps.
The walk starts from the car park in Castle Bolton, - opposite the Castle. A fee is payable (£5 all day). It is not possible to park in the village itself unless you are a resident.
Follow a field footpath to Redmire village,

Start from the Castle Bolton car park (see note above).
Walk Eastwards to the end of the village, then take the field footpath that heads Southwards.
Continue across the old railway track bed, and continue of the field footpath into Redmire village,
Head South through the village.
Where the road bends sharp right there is a lane straight ahead marked "No Footway". However, this IS a footpath though if a car is also on the lane you have to keep very tight to the edger.
At the end of this lane there is a permissive footpath on your right which takes to down to the River Ure and onwards towards Redmire Force.
Return to Castle Bolton using the same route you came out on.
