The Grey Panthers

Start from the small parking area beside the Haswell - Hart Cycleway. This parking area is at the end of East Terrace in Hesleden (NZ44246 37931).
Head Northwards along Hesleden Road, past the War Memorial and cemetery.
CRoss over the Castle Eden - Blackhall road to find a field footpath ahead of you.
Follow the field footpath to Castle Eden Dene.
In the dene, turn right and follow the footpath all the way to the A1086 Coast Road. Cross the road and follow the footpath to the beach at Dene Mouth.
Now take the road up to the parking lot above the beach, and continue along the road until it comes to a junction past an elementary school. Here a footpath is indicated which takes you back to the A1086.
Cross the road and return to Hesleden the way you first came.
