The Grey Panthers

There is a footbridge over the River Wear, with the footpath taking you to Newfield. Rather curiously, some massive stones make sure that only pedestrians use the footbridge (even though there is also a gate). However, the stones made excellent resting places for a group of walkers who stopped for a picnic lunch at this spot.
