The Grey Panthers

On the Guisborough Railway walkway near Pinchinthorpe. The Middlesbrough - Guisborough railway opened in 1853 to carry iron ore from the nearby mines to Middlesbrough. In 1854 the line opened to passenger traffic and ran until 1964. 20 years later the old railway was converted to a walkway.
