Outdoor Leisure Map OL27, - North Yorkshire Moors (East)

A straightforward walk from Levisham village to Levisham Station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
From the station the walk follows the Forestry roads and tracks to Newton Dale Halt.
Navigation is very straightforward.
At the start of the walk there is a descent of about 800 ft down to Levisham Station. Although the footpath is clearly defined and reasonably gentle, it should be remembered that what goes down has to come up again at the end of the walk!

Some new mapping software is now available which you may want to try, - QUO mapping. You can download the software for free from the link below, complete with demonstration maps. Having installed QUO, you can import and export Memory Map overlays. Thus YOU DON'T NEED Memory Map to use any of the overlays provided on the Grey Panthers web site, - just use QUO!!
