Explorer Map 306, - Middlesbrough & Hartlepool

You don't really need a map for this walk.
The walk is a "there-and-back" walk. Outwards is along Castle Eden Wakway, starting at Thorpe Thewles Station (the Wynyard Woodland Park).
The walk uses the old railway track bed that is now the Castle Eden Walkway.
Simply follow the track to the Hurworth Burn (the old railway station), then retrace your steps.
The walk is almost completely flat, and the big advantage of the walk is that in wet weather the surface walked on is generally firm underfoot.
In Spring / Summer / Autumn, the trees along the route are a delight.
