From Hunter Banks Farm onwards to Middleton-on-Leven, it was obvious that the footpath was little used and even less maintained. There is a stile hidden here, although it IS waymarked. But to use it you have a bit of an argument with a Hawthorn hedge and a mass of thistles and long grass.
