Footpaths and Bridleways blocked courtesy of civil engineering in preparation for Bishop Auckland's "Kynren". What didn't amuse us was that there was NO help as regards finding an alternative footpath, and without a map you would have been sunk. These footpath closures also added a substantial extra mileage to the walk.
