Explorer Map No OL30 - Yorkshire Dales Northern & Central Areas and Exploer Map No OL19

A walk through some superb Dales scenery, which can be tailored to be somewhat shorter if needs be,
The footpaths are very easy to follow, being well marked and in most cases well walked.
The only exception to this was the section betweent the Widdale Beck railway viaduct and Hawes, where it helped to follow the 1 : 25000 map with respect to the field patterns.
There are a couple of climbs, - one involving a trek up rough pasture.
The walk can be shortened by omitting the visit to Hardraw Force waterfall (entrance fee £2).
