A view down onto the original Newton Cap road bridge over the River Wear at Bishop Auckland. Traffic from Toronto would come down the hill on the left, and traffic from Bishop would come down the hill on the right, - then meet in the middle of the bridge which was only wide enough for not much more than a single vehicle.......
