Starting from the Broom Park Picnic Area, this walk follows two disused railway lines which are now used a walkways.
There is an easy ascent up a farm road to Esh village, followed by a descent to Langley Park by track and footpaths.
Overall, the walk is very straightfowards, and should present little difficulty.

Set out from the Broom Park Picnic Area, NZ2508941516.
Head West along the Deerness Valley Walk in the direction of Ushaw Moor.
The walk passes the bottom of Station Road in Ushaw Moor (NZ226423).
Continue West until the Deerness Valley Walk passes the B6302 road. (NZ2059742723).
Here, cross the road and ascend in a Northerly direction up the farm road waymarked to Esh.
At Esh, cross the minor road to follow the footpath down to Langley Park. The footpath is waymarked, but you may need to keep an eye on the map on the odd occasion.
Walk East along the Low Moor Road in Langley Park until you see the footpath sign by the recreation ground (NZ2075944937).
Take the footpath to the disused railway line that is now the Lanchester Valley Walk. Now head East to return to the Broom Park Picnic Area.
